Protective Eyewear

If your child participates in sports, the use of protective eyewear may protect them for serious eye injury and vision loss. A recent study showed that there were nearly 40,000 sport related eye injuries that occurred in the United States annually. Half of these resulted in costly emergency room visits and caused innumerable eye injuries. The age group effected the most where children between the ages of 5-14.

Even if your child wears glasses, everyday eyewear does not provide adequate protection, nor do they meet the standards for protective eyewear. If your child participates in sports, sports goggles should be a requisite piece of equipment to be included in their gym bags. We recommend that these goggles be equipped with polycarbonate lenses.

If your child needs corrective lenses, we would be more than happy to make a pair of lenses that fits directly into their sports goggles.
